Not a great picture, but a cute layout, I thought. I used an
Imagine layout,
Sweet Pea papers and stickers, some
Sweet Leaf ribbon, and some dimensional stickers I got from Target. :D I might take a better picture and upload it, since you can't really see much of the detail in this one... I was in a hurry.

For Adam's 7th birthday, he requested a "jungle" cake. The black figures are supposed to be a monkey and a jaguar. He doesn't care that they didn't look much like the animals - he loved it anyway! :-)

This layout is a tribute to my husband, and his devotion to our children. The layout is from the
Imagine layout pattern book from Close to My Heart, and the paper is from the CTMH
Free Spirit paper packet. The stickers are from a variety of places, and the flowers are some I got years ago and probably aren't even available. Buttons just came out of my button bin, so there's NO telling about those! :D

Been quite a while since I posted here. I've been making things, just haven't taken the time to actually photograph and share them... til now! :D
This is a layout I made using Close To My Heart's
Floral Impressions Level 2 Paper Packet, as well as some dimensional stickers I got from Target, and a variety of stickers from other sources. The baby-as-flower sticker came from the
Sweet Pea My Stickease. Journaling was done with my
black marker, and brads were given to me by a friend. The photos were taken during a trip last year to visit my in-laws. Amazing to think how much she's grown since then!

I had my kickoff party yesterday. It being a holiday weekend, I didn't really have very high expectations. Only two people came (a mom and a daughter), but they both put in an order, as did my co-hostess (she was having an open house at the same time), so it was better than I expected, to be honest. The mom and daughter (and co-hostess!) are both talking about possibly coming to my crops and/or classes, and they might mention it to people they know, so it's a start. A little baby-step start, but a start nonetheless. :)
My next event is going to be a crop here at the house next Sunday. Will be interesting to see if anyone attends.
I'm also placing a newspaper ad for a month, starting later this week, and will be putting flyers out at grocery stores, laundromats, post offices, etc. this week. Throw stuff at the wall, and see what sticks! :)

I had a lot of fun with this layout, even though I went into it not loving the papers. When all was said and done, the paper grew on me, and I even made a card with the scraps (will post that later). Also, that focal pictures is one of my favorites that I've ever taken. I shot it hours after my baby girl was born.
